Senior account manager / Project manager – Transcreation & Social Media

About the role

  • Full-time, permanent position (9:30am to 5:30/6pm GMT, Monday to Friday. Occasional evening and weekend monitoring)

  • Start date: ASAP

  • We are currently working from the office in London a couple of days per week and the rest remotely. There is flexibility

Who are we looking for?


We are currently looking for a gem – a motivated mid-level/senior account/project manager with 3-5 years’ experience in the translation and marketing field. Language, word and culture lover! Entrepreneurial creative spirit.


You will be managing translation and social media projects from start to finish, with support from an Account Executive. In parallel, you’ll play an integral role in helping scale-up our small structure; you will develop within and alongside the business – a rewarding experience altogether!

  • A marketing/advertising/social media specialist with, in an ideal world, experience in translation/transcreation and localization.


  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media for in-house marketing


  • Ambitious and entrepreneurial! For future business growth, someone with business development management skills to work on growing the existing portfolio and acquiring new business as well as working on client pitches and meeting with prospects…


  • A polyglot! We have loads of French clients so we are ideally looking a native English speaker with an excellent level of French 


  • Start-up work ethic & attitude: friendly, proactive approach, someone not afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get their hands dirty - and have fun doing it! Basically you like to get things done


  • Comfortable working in an open and collaborative office environment in West London (7 Station Terrace Kensal Rise) with some remote work




In brief: It’s an account manager’s position, your responsibilities will be to hold the relationship with our clients whilst ensuring their satisfaction, supervising the adaptation of international translation campaigns and manage relevant teams of translators, copy writers and editors, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of relevant projects.


WIT is a small structure so you will get involved with almost all areas of the business, tasks including:

Primary tasks

  • Account management

    • Manage with support client relationships: establish long-term relationships, optimise services and processes, deal with any issue

    • Manage finance: budgeting, forecasting, analyse profitability 

  • Project Management

    • Day-to-day management of an international team for a large social media project - handling client relationship (this sometimes involves evening and weekend work)

    • Manage autonomously the projects from initial client briefing to final delivery following our 6-step process.


And in detail…

  • Discuss brief with client

  • Prepare brief for translators

  • Translation project management

    • Select the right team depending on their experience

    • Timing organisation: provide heads-up/check translator’s availability, keep track of progress throughout the translation process

  • Translation process management (with support from Account Executive)

    • Brief the team

    • Review the translation

    • Brief the editor

    • Review edits

    • Finalise translation – file and notes ready for client

    • Deliver to client

    • Handle client feedback and suggested changes


  • A little bit on IT/software

    • Knowledge of Creator Studio, Hootsuite or other social media platforms​

    • Knowledge of CAT tools (we use Memsource)

    • Knowledge of web editing tools (we use WIX)

  • Marketing

    • Manage WIT's social media, website and newsletter content. Ensure we have a relevant content plan in place (currently we are not good at this)


  • Management

    • Management and training of a lovely Account Executive - ensure they flourish under your supervision and can effectively take over tasks

Secondary tasks

  • HR & recruitment

    • Manage translation teams’ relationship satisfaction

    • Expand our teams by finding the best translation profiles on the market and approach these people

    • Manage a bit of (boring) admin related (compliance with ISO certification, CPDs)

  • New business

    • Brainstorm with team to come up with marketing and new business solutions and orchestrate them

    • Help manage new/potential projects: put together proposals (presentation, introduction, email depending on request) and budget/offer

    • Attend new prospects, clients and PR meetings (at later stage)
