Striking Distance Studios, the AAA development studio led by legendary Dead Space creator Glen Schofield, has one goal with The Callisto Protocol – “to offer one of the most terrifying games of all time.”
For this launch, WIT partnered with both Striking Distance Studios and Skybound Entertainment, which is a multiplatform content company that works with creators and their intellectual property, extending their stories to further platforms including comics, television, film, video games, and more.
Words in Translation supported both companies to bring the game to a very excited worldwide audience. As we rapidly approached launch time, translations kept us on our toes: 20 languages in 24 hours. Talk about thrilling. But WIT have a few secret weapons up their sleeve, having put together a slick, streamlined processes and smart sharing tools to avoid any glitches in the system.
GAMERS WHO REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF
We also built a team of gaming-specialist community managers in various markets, who engaged with the fans and built suspense, each in their own language. Community managers checked in with their communities on a daily basis and reported local buzz to Skybound and Striking Distance. All around the world, there was someone watching their back around.
